City Roller Derby is the only Women's flat track roller derby league in
Dallas County, with over 100 skaters. The Kennedy Conspiracy-themed
league is composed of four home teams who bout regularly on the third
Saturday of every month, a traveling team that competes for bouting experience, and an All-Star travel team called Special Ops that competes on a nationally ranked level. Join the Conspiracy.
AUGUST 7 - ROLLER DERBY YARD SALE!
What in the WORLD would you find at a roller derby yard sale? You'd be surprised! Come on out and find out for yourself as the ladies of Assassination City Roller Derby empty their closets and garages, and part with some of their most prized possessions on order to raise money to fund our league. Walk away with Pyro Maim Ya's favorite leopard print coat or Ella Vader's old washer and dryer! You never know what you'll find at this annual event, and each year is a better collection than the last.
This event will take place Saturday, Aug. 7, from 8am to 3pm at Poteet High School, 3300 Poteet Drive, Mesquite, TX 75150.
Our July bout was another sell-out, and we're gonna do it all over again in August! This time, our four home teams will go toestop to toestop in a race to the championship. This double header will pit the Deadly Kennedys against La Revolucion, and the Bombshell Brigade against the Lone Star Assassins!
Halftime show by children's Nirvana tribute band CRITIC FEED and DJ Sista Whitenoise will be spinnin' us right round, baby.
As always, it's BYOB (no glass), $12 in advance, $15 at the door. Tickets available at Dad's Broadway Skateland, Barley House, Lee Harvey's and Pluckers on Greenville/Lovers. Bouts take place at Dad's Broadway Skateland, 3022 Moon Dr. Mesquite, TX 75150. Doors at 7pm, whistle at 7:30pm.
Our after party, immediately following the bout is at Assassination City Roller Derby's home-away-from-home, Lee Harvey's , 1807 Gould Street, Dallas. Come have a burger with your favorite skater and have a shot....back and to the left.
