 *November 1963*

As the presidential motorcade rolls down Houston Street, President John F.
Kennedy and his wife Jackie wave to the crowd of onlookers on what is a
beautiful, sunny day in Dallas. The procession turns onto Elm Street, the
crowd cheering at their beloved president and his stylish First Lady.

Shots ring out. The crowd erupts into chaos: Screaming, running
 everywhere, ducking, crying.

A secret service agent sprints to the presidential convertible. A
blood-spattered Jackie Kennedy scrambles out of the back seat onto the back
of the car, reaching out desperately for help.

Later that evening, Walter Cronkite announces to the world in a
tear-shaken voice, "the President's been shot."

This is the day Dallas became known as Assassination City.

 *February 2005*

Deep in the heart of downtown Dallas, something is brewing.
 Is it a cover-up?
 Is it a mob hit?

Assassination City Roller Derby, LLC was organized in early 2005 to
combine the spectacle of roller derby with the underbelly of Dallas' seedy
and mysterious past. Our highly skilled agents come from all walks of life
all over the greater Dallas area, but remain connected by the tragic turn
of events that have forever branded our city.

ACRD is the downtown derby. You may not live downtown, but you have that
downtown attitude: fierce, determined, competitive, unconventional, classy.
Our mission: to wake the public up out of their complacency to bear witness
to and join in the mayhem that is flat-track roller derby.

 *March 2007*

The ladies of ACRD continue to tear up the track for a second heart
pounding season. Joining the Deadly Kennedys, La Revolucion, and the
defending 2006 champions the Lone Star Assassins, is the new fourth team,
the charmed and dangerous Bombshell Brigade. The recruiting of agents
 continues.

 *March 2008*

The conspiracy continues as ACRD gears up for season three.  The Bombshell
Brigade, The Deadly Kennedys and the Lone Star Assassins all go head to
head to claim the title of 2008 Season Champions.  After bringing the
organization out of the flames, it gets stronger.  The membership grows.
The sisterhood flourishes.  2008 will mark the pivotal turn of the group -
and will soon have the infamy they have desired.

 *January 2009*

The moment is coming.  The troops are gathering, and their notoriety is
spreading throughout the back streets of Dallas.  The city gets ready for a
build-up of talent.  Women's flat track roller derby is hitting the nation
with full force, thanks to a popular little flick.  But the movie only
portrays part of the actual reality - and the women of Assassination City
gear up once again to show whoever's watching that they're the sexiest,
fastest, and most dangerous creatures you'll ever encounter.  The Lone Star
Assassins soar to victory to blaze their name across the city.

 * January 2010*

The season begins with a sell-out crowd, and doesn't stop selling out.
The home teams are gaining fans, and this is the year that Special Ops
will make their presence known.  Everyone around town has heard about
roller derby, knows it still exists, and knows where they can find the
deadly ladies of Assassination City.  La Revolucion is resurrected,
creating a brand-new army of camo-clad fans.  More and more people clamor
to get close to Assassination City.  More recruiting.  The organization is
on the precipice of something huge.  Yet again, the Lone Star Assassins are
the victors who rise to the top of a brutal season.

 *March 2011*

With the start of what will be an epic season, the ladies make their home
base none other than Fair Park Coliseum.  Under the lights of the Cotton
Bowl, teams wage war on the track, in front of crowds of thousands.  The secret

is out now.  Downtown Dallas has never seen anything quite like it.
Special Ops takes the region by storm, and cements their desire for
creating a dynasty.  Lone Star Assassins and The Deadly Kennedys form a
love/hate pact, and battle it out for supremacy throughout the season.  The
Deadly Kennedys, after an undefeated season, lay claim to the championship
trophy.  Assassination City also debuts a recreational league, Internal
Affairs, as well as a junior derby program called The Young Guns.  Growing
by leaps and bounds, this force cannot be stopped.

 *March 2012*

Assassination City is deeply rooted in the hearts of all Dallasites now,
far and wide.  Special Ops takes Third Place at the Assassination
City-hosted regional tournament, Governor's Cup.  It will be a year for
record books, for fans, for the city...and this is *your* year.  Your
year to become a part of the legend that is being created in Dallas, right
under your nose.  Their story can be part of *your* story, if you dare to
look inside.  Become a spectator.  Become a participant.  Become a
volunteer.  No matter what, Assassination City has a place for you.

*Welcome to Assassination City...Watch your head. *
