One hot summer day in 1978 the earth shook under a hospital in Texas. The doctors ran all through the hospital frantically. In one room, with walls a-shakin', a woman lay on bed in the middle of labor. Then it shook harder and harder, before they knew it a baby girl came out kicking and yelling. They knew that it wasn't a cry but a yell of trouble. This was the day Ellis-Dee was born. They could tell from the start that Ellis-Dee was trouble. She grew from a baby to a teen, all the while showing everyone how tough she was. Dressed in fishnets and combat boots, she love to skateboard and raise some hell. Everyone got out of her way as she went by, not wanting to upset her for they did not know what she would do. One day when she was a teen she meet a punk rocker as crazy as she was. As time went by, they got married and messed up the town. They shared the same love for drinking and fighting.. Then they had a family. It was hard to believe that she stettled down and had kids. She never did what anyone said and lived by her own rules. Ellis was happy, but she thought to herself something was missing. Then one day she came across roler derby and thought this was something for her. She always loved hockey and skating--she could now kick ass AND SKATE!--two things she was good at. Then she meet the bad ass chicks of the Lone Star Assassins, and knew now she had met the family she never had. Now if the walls are shakin' and you think you see tracers on the derby track, it's probably Ellis-Dee blurrin' by. Keep on trippin!!
